As we all know the market this spring/summer is very competitive if you are tying to sell; and our house sold in roughly a month’s time. Andrea (and team) took the time to appraise our house, and then were honest with us about what we needed to do to make our house competitive in today’s market; while staying within the budget we had in mind. This is where most real estate agents would stop before sticking a sign in the lawn, but not Andrea! We decided we wanted to have our house painted and update the light fixtures. Andrea took the time to personally pick out every fixture, as well as pick out the paint colour and added feature walls to accent the vaulted ceiling. She also assisted in advising us on the colour for the panel curtains, and gave tips on things we could do to help make our existing furniture turn our house into show home. Andrea made sure our entire house was perfect before taking photos for the listing. No, this extra effort did not delay our house from being listed, as Andrea had our house on the market within one week of us meeting for the first time. From the start we had what we consider to be an impressive amount of showings. Andrea gave us feedback as soon as she received it, and we used this feedback to further tweak the staging of the house and very quickly had an offer within four thousand of our asking price!!!! But again, the outstanding service didn’t stop there! Two days before the buyers took possession of the house we discovered we had water in our basement! By this point all of the furniture had been moved out and we were moving to Okotoks. We were sick with worry as we had never had water in the basement before and were worried about what this would do to the sale. We called Andrea, she was quick to easy our worries, she consulted with her team, and let us know what steps we needed to take. This is where most real estate agents would have washed their hands of it and said now you need to deal with your lawyer. Not Andrea! She kept in constant contact with us, while working things out with the buyers agent and letting us know what things we needed to find out from our lawyer. She also offered to check on our house and shop vac it for us on a daily basis, as we were no longer living in Lethbridge! This was far beyond what any agent would do!
